Back by popular demand, The Concert Truck joins forces with The Kennedy Center’s Washington National Opera to present WNO’s Pop-Up Opera initiative! We are honored to collaborate with one of the nation’s leading opera companies to bring the joy and comfort of exceptional live music to communities in the DMV safely during these times of isolation and hardship.
Pop-Up Opera features performances by the Cafritz Young Artists, brilliant young opera singers and pianists in WNO’s resident-training program directed by Robert Ainsley, and is a part of WNO's "Come, Hope" Project. Our co-directors Nick Luby and Susan Zhang will be joining WNO for a mini tour in the DC area featuring the Kennedy Center Education Artist-in-Residence Mo Willem's first opera, SLOPERA!, with music by Kennedy Center composer-in-residence Carlos Simon. We are beyond thrilled to welcome WNO back aboard The Concert Truck and excited to work together to share live music with communities in the DMV!
